Voces Solis presents the 14th annual Summer Singers, featuring an ensemble of nearly 120 performing a varied selection of choral repertoire under the direction of artistic director Dr. Ryan Keeling. The Saturday evening concert, August 10, will take place at 7:00PM in the FPCE Sanctuary
Founded in 2011, Summer Singers is committed to bringing together musicians, teachers, and lovers of choral music to share in the art and fellowship of choral singing. Our goal is to elevate our own standards of musicianship while rekindling our love for music making, enabling us to pass this fire on to our students and fellow musicians. Concerts are free and open to the public. Donations will gladly be accepted to continue the work of Voces Solis in providing the highest quality choral music to the Pittsburgh and surrounding regions. SPIRITUAL HIKE: Join in earth-based spiritual practices and meditations led by Pastor Jason. All ages are welcome as we seek to return to a childlike wonder of the earth—allowing the moss, trees, and deer to be our sages. We will meet on Saturday, July 20 at 10:00 AM at the Churchill Valley Greenway trail entrance on Beulah Road between the foot bridges.
We are thrilled to report that we served over 80 friends and neighbors at our June dinner. Thanks to all who helped make the day such a success. Come and be part of our next meals by setting up, serving, bringing side dishes or desserts, cleaning up, or just coming to be in community with our neighbors! Join us from 6:00-8:00PM on the following Wednesdays: July 3, August 7, September 4.
Note that our next meal, which is a Sausage & Pierogi Fest, on July 3 will take place in the air-conditioned Social Room due to anticipated heat. The mission committee decided that any time the temperature is above 80° we will meet indoors. August 7 menu is BBQ: chicken, ribs, etc. And we return to burgers and dogs for our September 4 meal. Join us as we continue to love our neighbors through food and hospitality! |
