Community Dinners Continue

Wednesdays: August 5, September 2
Thank you to all who have assisted in our first 2 dinners this summer. June was a beautiful sunny evening out on the lawn, while the heat in July had us pivot to an alternate menu to serve indoors in the Social Room. As usual, we shared in fellowship with our neighbors and friends through our favorite form of hospitality - food!

Weather dependent we will be outside for our August and September meals.  The Mission Committee will make the call within a day or 2 of the meal based on weather predictions. Rain or excessive heat will move us indoors. The committee is exploring new ways of organizing the meals as well, with team leads for the various parts of the day - set up, drinks, serving stations, soliciting sides and desserts, clean-up.  They have also purchased several new tents to go over the food tables so that the servers are not standing in direct sun for over an hour. The hope is that these adjustments and additions help to make the events run even more smoothly!
