![]() IMMEDIATE AID REQUEST As you may have heard, Second Avenue Commons recently burned down. This building housed some 180 individuals that Pittsburgh Mercy (Barbara Bisdee's employer) cares for. This is a terrible loss, as you can imagine, and Mercy is looking for donations and supplies. Mercy is in need of donations and supplies. The building has been condemned and the residents lost all of the little they had. You can bring these items to the church, and we will ensure they are delivered to Mercy. Monetary Donations Mercy is requesting emergency monetary donations as well to provide for the daily needs of the residents of the shelter who have been displaced by the fire and lost what little they had. Donations will also help Pittsburgh Mercy provide emergency housing, clothing, medical care, hygiene items, and any other necessary items that individuals may need. No gift is too small.
