A meaningful and abundant life...even now

Good morning,
During tomorrow morning’s worship service (Shaun will tell us more about that later today) I will read the hope-filled words of Jesus, “I came that they (the sheep who hear his voice) might have life and have it abundantly.” We may be tempted to wonder if abundant life is even possible during this Covid 19 pandemic. Good news – abundant life is here, among us, alive and well. For Christians , every day is another opportunity to celebrate and discover more about the power of Jesus’ resurrection. “Jesus’s resurrection is the beginning of God’s new project not to snatch people away from earth to heaven but to colonize earth with the life of heaven. That, after all, is what the Lord’s Prayer is about.” (N.T. Wright)
During this shut down, we might feel as though we are stuck in a dark, boring tomb, yet it is in a tomb that our resurrection faith began. Pray that our eyes and heart be open to the abundant life among us, even now. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you,
