Due to the recent rise in Covid-19 cases, Munhall Community Band has rescheduled our Spring Concert. The new date is tentatively scheduled for July 10, 2022 at 4:00PM. Yours in Music, Munhall Community Band Saturday, May 21, FPCE will welcome the Munhall Community Band to our sanctuary for their spring concert. Mandy Rineer and Jim Segedy both play with this ensemble. Enjoy concert band performances of music by Holst, Mozart, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Brubeck, Borges, Miranda, and more! Doors open at 4:30PM. Raffle baskets will be available to support MCB. 5:00PM in the Sanctuary, free admission with registration at munhallband.org (click the image below). Please plan to attend worship on Sunday, May 22 and stay for a brief (less than 15 minutes) meeting immediately following the service in the sanctuary to elect the additional officers that were not on the slate presented by the Nominating Committee at the January meeting.

The Edgewood Symphony returns to the JCC's Katz Auditorium for the first time in over two years! Join us there for our final performance of the 2021-2022 season. Our May concert features soloists Peggy Greb and Marissa Knaub Avon performing Mozart's Flute and Harp Concerto with the Edgewood Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra will also perform Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 5.
On April 24 following morning worship a memorial service was held for Jim Moore. The service was officiated by Jim's goddaughter, the Rev. Alexis Fuller-Wright and included several remembrances by friends and family, with musical offerings by Sunny and Shaun. Join us as we journey from Jerusalem to the Upper Room, from the Garden to the Trial, from the Cross to the Empty Tomb during the Passion of Jesus during Holy Week.
April 10 we celebrate the triumphal entry on Palm Sunday and events leading up to Jesus's betrayal and arrest in a Reader's Theater presentation during our Palm/Passion Sunday worship at 11:00AM. Maundy Thursday on April 14 is a time to remember the Last Supper when Jesus shared the bread and the cup with his disciples before heading into the Garden of Gethsemane, where Judas led the priests. Good Friday, April 15, we recall the crucifixion and death of our savior on the cross in silent meditation from our homes or in the sanctuary that will be open during office hours (9am-2pm). Easter Sunday, April 17, we rejoice that He is risen! He is risen indeed! Join us for a resurrection celebration during the 11 o'clock hour, including the sharing of Holy Communion. |
