Good morning brothers and sisters,
Take a look around. So much in the world is trying to undo us…trying to divide us: different standards of living, different degrees of ability or disability, different races & ethnic backgrounds, the 1% vs. the 99%, different political commitments etc… Thanks be to God for the living body of Christ. That would be you and me….the church. The fellowship where God, through the life, death, and resurrection of his Son, is on a mission to unite what is divided. This Sunday we will remember and give thanks for the unity we find around the table of Holy Communion. Be one with us and with the larger church – please worship with us as we share the bread and cup – 10:00 a.m. in the Gathering Place. There is plenty of room for you and anyone else you invite. “God, who is rich in mercy…made us alive together with Christ…” (Eph. 2: 4) See you soon, Pastor Michael Worship team meeting immediately following the service. Consequently, there is no adult Sunday School this week. Hi all,
First of all – last weekend was powerful and lovely. The Memorial Service for Jim Haley, the Voce Solis Summer Concert, and the emerging worship service…beautiful experiences of faith, beauty, and gratitude. Deep thanks to all who helped and participated. This weekend offers two opportunities. Tomorrow afternoon, the annual Edgewood Community Day celebration will take place at Koenig Park. Stop by our booth and say “hi”, maybe even help out for a while? Ten o’clock, Sunday morning, step into the Gathering Place and into a fellowship of members and friends who will be worshiping God in spirit, in truth, and with joy. My reflection will focus on a ministry of compassion that was attacked by the authorities and put Jesus on the defensive – again. He is becoming increasingly defiant. It is a cool story. See you Sunday! Pastor Michael Good morning everyone,

The answer to will be revealed, honored, and the subject of our discussion during the worship service this coming Sunday morning. (10:00 a.m. in the Gathering Place). Please join us for song, scripture, reflection, and prayer for the world, our nation, and our brothers, sisters, and friends. Your presence is valued. Stand tall in hope like the mighty oak! Pastor Michael There will be no adult class after worship this week. Good morning everyone,
The music has been chosen. The scripture passages inspiring and challenging, the table will be ready. Our focus? What really matters in life this life? You possess a job ... You treasure your family. You possess a house ... You treasure your home. You possess a bank account ... You treasure your friends. You possess a car ... You treasure your freedom. You possess a great wardrobe ... You treasure your health. You possess an appointment book... You treasure your time. You possess a heart ... You treasure love. You – male and female are a treasure created in the image of God. Christ prepared a table for us that reminds us of how much we are treasured. Please join us at that table. 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. (There will be an adult class/discussion following worship based on the morning’s scripture readings.) Grace and peace to all! Pastor Michael |
