The church in community and at worship

Hi all,
First of all – last weekend was powerful and lovely. The Memorial Service for Jim Haley, the Voce Solis Summer Concert, and the emerging worship service…beautiful experiences of faith, beauty, and gratitude. Deep thanks to all who helped and participated.
This weekend offers two opportunities. Tomorrow afternoon, the annual Edgewood Community Day celebration will take place at Koenig Park. Stop by our booth and say “hi”, maybe even help out for a while? 
Ten o’clock, Sunday morning, step into the Gathering Place and into a fellowship of members and friends who will be worshiping God in spirit, in truth, and with joy. My reflection will focus on a ministry of compassion that was attacked by the authorities and put Jesus on the defensive – again. He is becoming increasingly defiant. It is a cool story.
