Good morning –
Oh my God - these sunny, sunny days! (I’m nervous about saying anything, don’t want to jinx us.) Thank you God! It is true, every Sunday morning of worship is a time for healing, forgiving, praising, singing, learning, and growing as the people of God. No, we don’t do “Lights! Camera! Action!” around here. Our worship is not flashy. (Although we do project words onto a screen!) Let’s just say – at the First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood we come to worship as we are, we come in love and humility, we come to be filled with life. Heather sent me a quote this morning that I really like, from long time spiritual leader and teacher, A.W. Tozer: “Modern religions focus on filling churches with people. The true gospel emphasizes filling people with God.” See you Sunday morning – 10:00 a.m. in the Gathering Place. Come with an open heart and a humble spirit – ready to be filled with God. Grace and peace to all, Pastor Michael AND PLEASE – do stay after worship to hear what the Strategic Planning team is thinking and discussing. Your presence is important to us. We are keen to keep you up to date. We long for your input and voice. Please join us. I look forward to that time together. Comments are closed.
