Our online worship for the 4th Sunday after Pentecost includes the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper as requested by Pastor Michael for his last Sunday service with us. You are encouraged to have the bread and cup ready to partake when invited to do so. The Rev. Brian Wallace, Associate Minister at Pittsburgh Presbytery, joins our service to share in the Recognition of Honorable Retirement from the Ministry of Word and Sacrament. Continue watching after Sunny's postlude to see a video compilation of well-wisher and farewell messages from members of the congregation to Pastor Michael as we were not able to come together for a formal, in-person celebration in this time of social distancing.
On this third Sunday after Pentecost, Pastor Michael preaches a sermon titled "Tough Times, Tough Choices," on some difficult words that Jesus said in Matthew 10. As this is Father's Day, spend some time honoring the important men in our lives. Join in the responses, hymns, and prayers as they appear on your screen.
For this week's worship, we focus on justice and peace in word and song. Pastor Michael preaches on the familiar parable of the Good Samaritan. We share in a responsive spoken and sung psalm as well as several familiar hymn tunes. As usual, video, audio, and PDF versions of the service are posted.
We celebrate God in three persons on Trinity Sunday. You are invited to join in the responses and familiar hymns as we gather around, proclaim, respond to, and send into the world God's Word during this week's online worship. The service is available in video, audio, and pdf bulletin formats.
